Mr Lee Kong Meng is a practicing speech-language pathologist specializing in peadiatric speech therapy. He has been working with children with communication disorders with and without developmental disorders; focusing in assessing, treating their speech-language and communication difficulty and conducting parents training for the past 13 years.
He graduated with a bachelor of speech science in 1999 from Malaysia and later earned his Master of Health Science in 2009 from University of Sydney. He returned to Malaysia recently after his 9 years of practice in the National University Hospital of Singapore. He is now the clinical director of his newly set up speech therapy centre, Speech Beacon in Puchong. He also practices part-time at Speech Help at Petaling Jaya and lectured at Colleague of Allied Educators.
He is trained and certified in Hanen programs (Canada) for children with language delay and autism.
He is also trained in:
- PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System),
- Lidcombe early stuttering intervention program (Australia).
He also received training in Signposts program to build better behaviours in children with developmental delay.
He is a member of Speech-Language and Hearing Association of Singapore (SHAS) and member of Malaysian Association of Speech-Language and Hearing (MASH), the professional bodies of speech-language pathologists in Singapore and in Malaysia.
